What types of cookies do we use?

Necessary cookies/ Functional cookies

These cookies do not require your consent.

These cookies are necessary for the proper functioning of the website, they are always placed (if your browser settings allow this).

Analytic cookies

Through our website, cookies are placed by the US company Google, which are Analytic cookies. We use this service by Google to track how visitors use our website. With this information, we can, for instance, improve our website or offer more targeted information.

Google can only provide this information to third parties if they are legally obliged to do so or if third parties need to process the information on Google's behalf. We have no influence on this.

The kind of information Google collects with Analytic cookies is without any privacy-sensitive information. Google stores the collected information on servers in the United States, adhering to Privacy Shield rules of Europe.

We have entered into a processing agreement with Google.

Google Ads (Adwords) are used to make comparisons between Google and Analytics. Your IP address is used for this purpose. Google Ads data is retained by Google for 30 days.

A more extensive form of Adwords keeps track of how many and which ads have been shown to you. This allows Google to check whether you clicked on an advertisement. Your IP address is also used for this purpose. Google is allowed to store this data for 180 days.

Tracking cookies / Marketing cookies

We also use tracking cookies to make the website more user-friendly and personalised, and for targeted visitor information.

The information stored is used to identify you and to use your data for targeted advertising. Based on the pages you visit, we can infer what you are interested in. These cookies are often set via third parties (e.g. Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter etc.), which is why these cookies are also often referred to as Third Party cookies.

Google Adwords Remarketing cookies are stored to build up your visitor behaviour and profile, so that you are only offered advertisements tailored to your interests. Your IP address is used for this purpose. Google is allowed to store this data for 540 days.

Doubleclick cookies store cookies to improve ads. They ensure that you are offered personalised ads from Google.

'Social Media' cookies are stored to allow web pages or sections to be promoted or shared on social networks such as Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn.  Only the Social Media channels mentioned in our privacy statement and on our website apply here.

'Social media' channels work with pieces of code that come from the social media platform itself. Cookies are set by means of this code. We have no influence on this.

It is therefore possible that other parties besides us may place cookies on your device when you visit our website. We refer you to the websites of these parties if you want to know more about their cookie storage.
